Are you there
Listening to me
Are you there
Where I can't see
You use to say
I was your friend
But why did it have to end
You're not here
When I need you the most
You watch over me
As if you're a ghost
When I look in the mirror
I see your reflection
When I'm by myself
I hear your voice
When I'm in the dark
I see your shadowy figure
When I'm alone
And you know I hate it
You're there
But why aren't you here
When I need you the most
Are you there?

In my dreams
There's something strange
I'm about to feel
All of my pain
It's life and death
That's on the line
My heart has fallen
A million times
I can't stand to think
What has come
But I have to face
My future to come
I don't know if it's evil
But it has good reason
Our lives are on the line
This has nothing to do with me
It may be my choice
But I have to protect my family
For it's not me on the line
It's us
And I must do my part
I must fight
With my heart

When night time falls
I'm not me
In my dreams
I can see everything that can be
I see and I feel all the fights that go on
And I just pray
To wake up and turn the lights on
I see a person who looks like me
But the more I think, it can not be
This person is fighting
For everything and everyone she loves
That's not me
I'd hide in a corner
Be scared to come out
Afraid to admit
This could all happen sooner
I could change all of this
All the crying and hiding
For I know for a fact
I'm not crying inside me!
